To Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFF AAGGHHBBIIJJ

Rose when I remember youA
Little lady scarcely twoA
I am suddenly awareB
Of the angels in the airB
All your softly gracious waysC
Make an island in my daysC
Where my thoughts fly back to beD
Sheltered from too strong a seaD
All your luminous delightE
Shines before me in the nightE
When I grope for sleep and findF
Only shadows in my mindF
-
Rose when I remember youA
White and glowing pink and newA
With so swift a sense of funG
Altho' life has just begunG
With so sure a pride of placeH
In your very infant faceH
I should like to make a prayerB
To the angels in the airB
If an angel ever bringsI
Me a baby in her wingsI
Please be certain that it growsJ
Very very much like RoseJ
