sits there facing you any man whateverB
listening from closeby to the sweetness of yourC
voice as you talk theD

sweetness of your laughter yes that I swear itE
sets the heart to shaking inside my breast sinceF
once I look at you for a moment I can'tG
speak any longerB

but my tongue breaks down and then all at once aD
subtle fire races inside my skin myH
eyes can't see a thing and a whirring whistleI
thrums at my hearingJ

cold sweat covers me and a trembling takesK
ahold of me all over I'm greener than theD
grass is and appear to myself to be littleI
short of dyingJ
