| Though I smile and seems carefree | D |
| Yet this odd feeling won't have me freed | E |

| I taught you wouldn't break my heart | F |
| I taught you were tired of seeing me hurt | G |
| But now you won't be able to push me aback | H |
| Because I am gaining my strength back | H |

| I am going to laugh so you don't see me cry | I |
| I am going to let you go in style | J |
| I am going to smile when I sees you from miles | K |
| And even if it kills me my spirit will save the smiles | K |
