To A Wild Violet, In March Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGF HIJIKABA LLMM NNOO PPQQ

My pretty flowerA
How cam'st thou hereB
Around thee allC
Is sad and sereD
The brown leaves tellE
Of winter's breathF
And all but thouG
Of doom and deathF
-
The naked forestH
Shivering sighsI
On yonder hillJ
The snow wreath liesI
And all is bleakK
Then say sweet flowerA
Whence cam'st thou hereB
In such an hourA
-
No tree unfolds its timid budL
Chill pours the hill side's lurid floodL
The tuneless forest all is dumbM
Whence then fair violet didst thou comeM
-
Spring hath not scattered yet her flowersN
But lingers still in southern bowersN
No gardener's art hath cherished theeO
For wild and lone thou springest freeO
-
Thou springest here to man unknownP
Waked into life by God aloneP
Sweet flower thou tellest well thy birthQ
Thou cam'st from Heaven though soiled in earthQ
