The Ideal And The Actual Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ HKLK

My boat is on the bounding tideA
Away away from surge and shoreB
A waif upon the wave I rideA
Without a rudder or an oarB
-
Blow as ye list ye breezes blowC
The compass now is nought to meD
Flow as ye will ye billows flowC
If but ye bear me out to seaD
-
Yon waving line of dusky blueE
Where care and toil oppress the heartF
To thee I bid a long adieuE
And smile to feel that thus we partF
-
There let the sweating ploughman toilG
The yearning miser count his gainH
The fevered scholar waste his oilG
But I am bounding o'er the mainH
-
How fresh these breezes to the browI
How dear this freedom to the soulJ
Bright ocean I am with thee nowI
So let thy golden billows rollJ
-
-
-
But stay what means this throbbing brainH
This heaving chest these pulses quickK
Oh take me to the land againL
For I am very very sickK
