When I Was Little Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGH IJGKLMBNOJP BOQRSTUV W

When I was little I wanted to be a spyA
But I never knew why I wanted to be oneB
Or even understood why I had to be a spyA
Until now that I still have so many unanswered questionsC
Hovering in my head like scavengersD
Waiting to feast on my dead brainsE
At any least given chanceF
Why were we kept from so many secretsG
When they knew it will one day be open themselves to usH
-
I wanted to become a spy so I couldI
Figure out what goes on behind closed doorsJ
When lovers are coiled inside blanketsG
I wanted to also know how our parentsK
Did their magic that brought forthL
One of our kind every four yearsM
I wanted to find what was hiddenB
Behind the deep blue skiesN
And the deep blue seasO
I wanted to find out what goes on behind closed doorsJ
And inside the dark when all the lights go outP
-
But now I realise every secret is openB
There are no secrets but mysteriesO
So I am a spy and I know notQ
What I am seeking but I will knowR
When I finally meet who I have beenS
Seeking for right from birthT
I will realise I was finding myselfU
And I didn't know I was lostV
