You broke me by tearing me apart
You brought me to my feet by breaking me down
'If you don't stand for something,
You will fall for anything,' was all you could say
But I fell for something so I stood for anything
I stood for anything because I fell for something
And you did not only mean something but everything
Where anything became my everything
And something meant nothing to me
Because I was left alone with nothing to hold me down
I was not a successful man, I will admit
Otherwise, there would be something
Holding me down because I stood for you
But you broke me lose and set the demon free
I am a free man now and it hurts
My rib is lost; I am empty
My better half is gone; I am single
I used to be a four legged creature under my blanket
But I am now deformed and its all because of you
It has been like forever since you've been gone.
You made my road so foggy in the middle of this rocky world
With my thoughts as a heavy load
Which I carry on my back like a hunchback
Where did our fragile hearts go?
Did they travel and never came back?
Or perhaps as you always say
'They have flown to the forgotten paradise'
