Sonnet: "i Said I Splendidly Loved You; It's Not True" Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEGHH

I said I splendidly loved you it's not trueA
Such long swift tides stir not a land locked seaB
On gods or fools the high risk falls on youA
The clean clear bitter sweet that's not for meB
Love soars from earth to ecstasies unwistC
Love is flung Lucifer like from Heaven to HellD
But there are wanderers in the middle mistC
Who cry for shadows clutch and cannot tellD
Whether they love at all or loving whomE
An old song's lady a fool in fancy dressF
Or phantoms or their own face on the gloomE
For love of Love or from heart's lonelinessG
Pleasure's not theirs nor pain They doubt and sighH
And do not love at all Of these am IH
