Sometimes Even Now Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCBDEE FGHIHIJKJKIK ILMN MN OO

Sometimes even now I mayA
Steal a prisoner's holidayA
Slip when all is worst the bandsB
Hurry back and duck beneathC
Time's old tyrannous groping handsB
Speed away with laughing breathD
Back to all I'll never knowE
Back to you a year agoE
-
Truant there from Time and PainF
What I had I find againG
Sunlight in the boughs aboveH
Sunlight in your hair and dressI
The hands too proud for all but LoveH
The Lips of utter kindlinessI
The Heart of bravery swift and cleanJ
Where the best was safe I knewK
And laughter in the gold and greenJ
And song and friends and ever youK
With smiling and familiar eyesI
You but friendly you but trueK
-
And Innocence accounted wiseI
And Faith the fool the pitiableL
Love so rare one would swearM
All of earth for ever wellN
-
Careless lips and flying hairM
And little things I may not tellN
-
It does but double the heart acheO
When I wake when I wakeO
