Dawn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCBCBC DEFFCC

From the train between Bologna and Milan second classA
-
Opposite me two Germans snore and sweatB
Through sullen swirling gloom we jolt and roarC
We have been here for ever even yetB
A dim watch tells two hours two aeons moreC
The windows are tight shut and slimy wetB
With a night's foetor There are two hours moreC
Two hours to dawn and Milan two hours yetB
Opposite me two Germans sweat and snoreC
-
One of them wakes and spits and sleeps againD
The darkness shivers A wan light through the rainE
Strikes on our faces drawn and white SomewhereF
A new day sprawls and inside the foul airF
Is chill and damp and fouler than beforeC
Opposite me two Germans sweat and snoreC
