Call, The Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KKKK LBLB MEMN

Out of the nothingness of sleepA
The slow dreams of EternityB
There was a thunder on the deepA
I came because you called to meB
-
I broke the Night's primeval barsC
I dared the old abysmal curseD
And flashed through ranks of frightened starsC
Suddenly on the universeD
-
The eternal silences were brokenE
Hell became Heaven as I passedF
What shall I give you as a tokenE
A sign that we have met at lastF
-
I'll break and forge the stars anewG
Shatter the heavens with a songH
Immortal in my love for youG
Because I love you very strongH
-
Your mouth shall mock the old and wiseI
Your laugh shall fill the world with flameJ
I'll write upon the shrinking skiesI
The scarlet splendour of your nameJ
-
Till Heaven cracks and Hell thereunderK
Dies in her ultimate mad fireK
And darkness falls with scornful thunderK
On dreams of men and men's desireK
-
Then only in the empty spacesL
Death walking very silentlyB
Shall fear the glory of our facesL
Through all the dark infinityB
-
So clothed about with perfect loveM
The eternal end shall find us oneE
Alone above the Night aboveM
The dust of the dead gods aloneN
