If I should die think only this of meB
That there's some corner of a foreign fieldC
That is for ever England There shall beB
In that rich earth a richer dust concealedC
A dust whom England bore shaped made awareD
Gave once her flowers to love her ways to roamE
A body of England's breathing English airD
Washed by the rivers blest by suns of homeE
-
And think this heart all evil shed awayF
A pulse in the eternal mind no lessG
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England givenH
Her sights and sounds dreams happy as her dayF
And laughter learnt of friends and gentlenessI
In hearts at peace under an English heavenH
