A Charm Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFF GGEEHHII JKLMNNOOOO PPOOOO

Take of English earth as muchA
As either hand may rightly clutchA
In the taking of it breatheB
Prayer for all who lie beneathC
Not the great nor well bespokeD
But the mere uncounted folkD
Of whose life and death is noneE
Report or lamentationE
Lay that earth upon thy heartF
And thy sickness shall departF
-
It shall sweeten and make wholeG
Fevered breath and festered soulG
It shall mightily restrainE
Over busied hand and brainE
It shall ease thy mortal strifeH
'Gainst the immortal woe of lifeH
Till thyself restored shall proveI
By what grace the Heavens do moveI
-
Take of English flowers theseJ
Spring's full vaced primrosesK
Summer's wild wide hearted roseL
Autumn's wall flowerr of the closeM
And thy darkness to illumeN
Winter's bee thronged ivy bloomN
Seek and serve them where they bideO
From Candlemas to Christmas tideO
For these simples used arightO
Can restore a failing sightO
-
These shall cleanse and purifyP
Webbed and inward turning eyeP
These shall show thee treasure hidO
Thy familiar fields amidO
And reveal which is thy needO
Every man a King indeedO
