How many sheep are strayingA
Lost from the Savior's foldB
Upon the lonely mountain They shiver with the coldB
Within the tangled thicketsC
Where poison vines do creepD
And over rocky ledgesE
Still roam the poor lost sheepD
-
O come let us go and find themF
In the paths of death they roamG
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to sayH
I have brought some lost one homeG
-
O who will go to find themF
Who for the Savior's sakeI
Will search with tireless patienceJ
Through brier and through brakeI
Unheeding thirst or hungerK
Who still from day to dayH
Will seek as for treasureK
The sheep that go astrayH
-
O come let us go and find themF
In the paths of death they roamG
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to sayH
I have brought some lost one homeG
-
Say will you seek to find themF
From pleasant bow'rs of easeL
Will you go forth determinedM
To find the least of theseL
For still the Savior calls themF
And looks across the woldB
And still He holds wide openN
The door into His foldB
-
O come let us go and find themF
In the paths of death they roamG
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to sayH
I have brought some lost one homeG
-
How sweet 'twound be at eveningA
If you and I could sayH
Good Shepherd we've been seekingA
The sheep that went astrayH
Heartsore and faint with hungerK
We heard them making moanO
And lo we come at nightfallP
And bear them safely homeG
-
O come let us go and find themF
In the paths of death they roamG
At the close of the day 'twill be sweet to sayH
I have brought some lost one homeG
