How Can I Keep From Singing? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCDED FGHGIDGD BJKJLDKD

My life flows on in endless songA
Above earth s lamentationB
I hear the sweet though far off hymnB
That hails a new creationB
Through all the tumult and the strifeC
I hear the music ringingD
It finds an echo in my soulE
How can I keep from singingD
-
What though my joys and comforts dieF
The Lord my Savior livethG
What though the darkness gather roundH
Songs in the night He givethG
No storm can shake my inmost calmI
While to that refuge clingingD
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earthG
How can I keep from singingD
-
I lift mine eyes the cloud grows thinB
I see the blue above itJ
And day by day this pathway smoothesK
Since first I learned to love itJ
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heartL
A fountain ever springingD
All things are mine since I am HisK
How can I keep from singingD
