The Beach Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE DFGDF

Louder than gulls the little children screamA
Whom fathers haul into the jovial foamB
But others fearlessly rush in breast highC
Laughing the salty water from their mouthesD
Heroes of the nurseryE
-
The horny boatman who has seen whalesD
And flying fishes who has sailed as farF
As Demerara and the Ivory CoastG
Will warn them when they crowd to hear his talesD
That every ocean smells of tarF
