Rhyme Scheme: AAAAA BCBBC ADAAE FGFFH IJIIJ

So far from praising he blasphemesA
Who says that God has been or isA
Who swears he met with God in dreamsA
Or face to face in woods and streamsA
Meshed in their boundariesA
-
'Has been' and 'is' the seasons bindB
Here glut of bread there lack of breadC
The mill stones grumble as they grindB
That if God is he must be blindB
Or if he was is deadC
-
Can God with Danae sport and kissA
Or God with rebel demons fightD
Making a proof as Jove or DisA
Force Essence Knowledge that or thisA
Of Godhead infiniteE
-
The caterpillar years to comeF
March head to tail with years that wereG
Round and around the cosmic drumF
To time and space they add their sumF
But how is Godhead thereH
-
Weep sleep be merry vault the gateI
Or down the evening furrow plodJ
Hate and at length withhold your hateI
Rule or be ruled by certain fateI
But cast no net for GodJ
