Down, Wanton, Down! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH IIJJ

Down wanton down Have you no shameA
That at the whisper of Love's nameA
Or Beauty's presto up you raiseB
Your angry head and stand at gazeB
-
Poor bombard captain sworn to reachC
The ravelin and effect a breachC
Indifferent what you storm or whyD
So be that in the breach you dieD
-
Love may be blind but Love at leastE
Knows what is man and what mere beastE
Or Beauty wayward but requiresF
More delicacy from her squiresF
-
Tell me my witless whose one boastG
Could be your staunchness at the postG
When were you made a man of partsH
To think fine and profess the artsH
-
Will many gifted Beauty comeI
Bowing to your bald rule of thumbI
Or Love swear loyalty to your crownJ
Be gone have done Down wanton downJ
