Youth Renewed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGFGHDHE IFIFJDJE

When one who has wandered out of the wayA
Which leads to the hills of joyB
Whose heart has grown both cold and greyA
Though it be but the heart of a boyB
When such a one turns back his feetC
From the valley of shadow and painD
Is not the sunshine passing sweetC
When a man grows young againE
-
How gladly he mounts up the steep hillsideF
With strength that is born anewG
And in his veins like a full springtideF
The blood streams through and throughG
And far above is the summit clearH
And his heart to be there is fainD
And all too slowly it comes more nearH
When a man grows young againE
-
He breathes the pure sweet mountain breathI
And it widens all his heartF
And life seems no more kin to deathI
Nor death the better partF
And in tones that are strong and rich and deepJ
He sings a grand refrainD
For the soul has awakened from mortal sleepJ
When a man grows young againE
