Pleasant Prophecies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG HIJI KLML NONO

A day of gladness yet will dawnA
Though when I cannot sayB
Perhaps it may be Thursday weekC
Perhaps some other dayB
-
When man freed from the bond of clothesD
And needing no more foodE
Shall never pull his neighbour's noseF
But be extremely goodG
-
When Love and Nobleness shall liveH
Next door to Truth and RightI
While Reverence shall rent a roomJ
Upon the second flightI
-
And wishes shall be horses thenK
And beggars shall be kingsL
And all the people shall admireM
This pleasant state of thingsL
-
But if it seems a mysteryN
And you're inclined to doubt itO
Just ask your local poet HeN
Will tell you all about itO
