Milton. With Apologies To Lord Tennyson Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEFGGHFIGGJB

O swallow tailed purveyor of college spreesA
O skilled to please the student fraternityB
Most honoured publican of ScotlandC
Milton a name to adorn the Cross KeysA
Whose chosen waiters Samuel ArchibaldD
Helped by the boots and marker at billiardsE
Wait as the smoke filled crowded chamberF
Rings to the roar of a Gaelic chorusG
Me rather all those temperance hostelriesG
The soda siphon fizzily murmuringH
And lime fruit juice and seltzer waterF
Charm as a wanderer out in South StreetI
Where some recruiting eager Blue RibbonitesG
Spied me afar and caught by the Post OfficeG
And crimson nosed the latest convertJ
Fastened the odious badge upon meB
