Lost Liberty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CDECDE

Of our own will we are not freeA
When freedom lies within our powerB
We wait for some decisive hourB
To rise and take our libertyA
-
Still we delay content to beA
Imprisoned in our own high towerB
What is it but a strong built bowerB
Ours are the warders ours the keyA
-
But we through indolence grow weakC
Our warders fed with power so longD
Become at last our lords indeedE
We vainly threaten vainly seekC
To move their ruth The bars are strongD
We dash against them till we bleedE
