Quandary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFEEEEEEGG HHIIEE

Never have I been glad or sadA
That there was such a thing as badA
There had to be I understoodB
For there to have been any goodB
It was by having been contrastedC
That good and bad so long had lastedC
That's why discrimination reignsD
That's why we need a lot of brainsD
If only to discriminateE
'Twixt what to love and what to hateE
To quote the oracle at DelphiF
Love thy neighbor as thyself ayeF
And hate him as thyself thou hatestE
There quandary is at its greatestE
We learned from the forbidden fruitE
For brains there is no substituteE
'Unless it's sweetbreads ' you suggestE
With innuendo I detestE
You drive me to confess in inkG
Once I was fool enough to thinkG
That brains and sweetbreads were the sameH
Till I was caught and put to shameH
First by a butcher then a cookI
Then by a scientific bookI
But ' twas by making sweetbreads doE
I passed with such a high I QE
