Holy Sonnet Of The Reason For The Atonement Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Love is tender emotion and fieryA
Who needed an offering for his heartB
Seeing sin made God like the raging seaA
That must shipwreck sin and break it apartB
But none who will part from the evil shipC
Deserve the wrath that must fall upon itD
We were slaves forced to evil by the whipC
And beasts of burden serving without witD
Yet Love who knows all things was blinded stillE
By his own pure infinite emotionF
Which could not exercise his Spirit's willE
Till Jesus calmed this furious oceanF
Showing sin as 'white' in himself he diesG
'That God might be just' when us he descriesG
