IA
Amarantha sweet and faireB
Ah brade no more that shining haireB
As my curious hand or eyeA
Hovering round thee let it flyeA
-
IIA
Let it flye as unconfin'dC
As it's calme ravisher the windeC
Who hath left his darling th' EastC
To wanton o're that spicie neastC
-
IIIA
Ev'ry tresse must be confestC
But neatly tangled at the bestC
Like a clue of golden threadC
Most excellently ravelledC
-
IVD
Doe not then winde up that lightC
In ribands and o'er cloud in nightC
Like the sun in's early rayE
But shake your head and scatter dayE
-
VD
See 'tis broke within this groveD
The bower and the walkes of loveD
Weary lye we downe and restC
And fanne each other's panting breastC
-
VID
Heere wee'll strippe and coole our fireF
In creame below in milk baths higherF
And when all wells are drawne dryD
I'll drink a teare out of thine eyeD
-
VIID
Which our very joys shall leaveD
That sorrowes thus we can deceiveD
Or our very sorrowes weepeG
That joyes so ripe so little keepeG
