Rhyme Scheme: AABACDD AEFEFGH I HHEEFFEEJJEEKKFFI | A |
In mine one monument I lye | A |
And in my self am buried | B |
Sure the quick lightning of her eye | A |
Melted my soul ith' scabberd dead | C |
And now like some pale ghost I walk | D |
And with another's spirit talk | D |

II | A |
Nor can her beams a heat convey | E |
That may my frozen bosome warm | F |
Unless her smiles have pow'r as they | E |
That a cross charm can countercharm | F |
But this is such a pleasing pain | G |
I'm loth to be alive again | H |

ANOTHER | I |
- | |
I did believe I was in heav'n | H |
When first the heav'n her self was giv'n | H |
That in my heart her beams did passe | E |
As some the sun keep in a glasse | E |
So that her beauties thorow me | F |
Did hurt my rival enemy | F |
But fate alas decreed it so | E |
That I was engine to my woe | E |
For as a corner'd christal spot | J |
My heart diaphanous was not | J |
But solid stuffe where her eye flings | E |
Quick fire upon the catching strings | E |
Yet as at triumphs in the night | K |
You see the Prince's Arms in light | K |
So when I once was set on flame | F |
I burnt all ore the letters of her name | F |
