Night. To Lucasta Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFGHHII JDJDKLMM

Night loathed jaylor of the lock'd up sunA
And tyrant turnkey on committed dayB
Bright eyes lye fettered in thy dungeonA
And Heaven it self doth thy dark wards obeyB
Thou dost arise our living hellC
With thee grones terrors furies dwellC
Until LUCASTA doth awakeD
And with her beams these heavy chaines off shakeD
-
Behold with opening her almighty lidE
Bright eyes break rowling and with lustre spreadF
And captive day his chariot mounted isG
Night to her proper hell is beatH
And screwed to her ebon seatH
Till th' Earth with play oppressed liesI
And drawes again the curtains of her eyesI
-
But bondslave I know neither day nor nightJ
Whether she murth'ring sleep or saving wakeD
Now broyl'd ith' zone of her reflected lightJ
Then frose my isicles not sinews shakeD
Smile then new Nature your soft blastK
Doth melt our ice and fires wasteL
Whil'st the scorch'd shiv'ring world new bornM
Now feels it all the day one rising mornM
