Lucasta's World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBBBCD EAFBFBBB GGHIHJHH

Cold as the breath of winds that blowA
To silver shot descending snowA
Lucasta sigh't when she did closeB
The world in frosty chainesB
And then a frowne to rubies froseB
The blood boyl'd in our veinesB
Yet cooled not the heat her sphereC
Of beauties first had kindled thereD
-
Then mov'd and with a suddaine flameE
Impatient to melt all againeA
Straight from her eyes she lightning hurl'dF
And earth in ashes mournesB
The sun his blaze denies the worldF
And in her luster burnesB
Yet warmed not the hearts her niceB
Disdaine had first congeal'd to iceB
-
And now her teares nor griev'd desireG
Can quench this raging pleasing fireG
Fate but one way allowes beholdH
Her smiles' divinityI
They fann'd this heat and thaw'd that coldH
So fram'd up a new skyJ
Thus earth from flames and ice repreev'dH
E're since hath in her sun shine liv'dH
