IN RUFUM CATUL EPA
-
Noli admirari quare tibi foemina nullaB
Rufe velit tenerum supposuisse femurC
Non ullam rarae labefactes munere vestisD
Aut pellucidulis deliciis lapidisD
Laedit te quaedam mala fabula qua tibi ferturC
Valle sub alarum trux habitare caperC
Hunc metuunt omnes neque mirum nam mala valde estE
Bestia nec quicum bela puella cubetE
Quare aut crudelem nasorum interfice pestemF
Aut admirari desine cur fugiantE
-
TO RUFUSD
-
That no fair woman will wonder not whyG
Clap Rufus under thine her tender thighG
Not a silk gown shall once melt one of themF
Nor the delights of a transparent gemmeF
A scurvy story kills thee which doth tellB
That in thine armpits a fierce goat doth dwellB
Him they all fear full of an ugly stenchH
Nor 's 't fit he should lye with a handsome wenchH
Wherefore this noses cursed plague first crushH
Or cease to wonder why they fly you thusD
