“Dad, ain't you going to work anymore?”
Asked the last son
In a family of nine
“No, I'm on vacation”
His Dad replied smiling
He was laid off his job
Two months ago
Without pay for previous six months
Hiding his pain from the son
He looked to the heavens
Saying: “Father thank you for life”
“Thank You God for sustenance”
A single mom of five
Puting down the food from fire
Called out to her kids:
“Food is ready sweethearts”
“Come let's eat”
Dishing the food
She gave each child
Their share to eat
“Mom, what about yours?”
“You're not eating?”
With a big smile
She replied : “Eat! When you eat, I've eaten too”
“I thank God I have You”
When not full, be thankful
In pain, be grateful
Help with a handful
Yes be prayerful
