The Pond Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BCBB DDDD EEEE

Whose pond is that I think I knowA
Its owner is quite happy thoughA
Full of joy like a vivid rainbowA
I watch him laugh I cry helloA
-
He gives his pond a shakeB
And laughs until her belly achesC
The only other sound's the breakB
Of distant waves and birds awakeB
-
The pond is hungry interesting and deepD
But he has promises to keepD
After cake and lots of sleepD
Sweet dreams come to him cheapD
-
He rises from his gentle bedE
With thoughts of kittens in his headE
He eats his jam with lots of breadE
Ready for the day aheadE
