God save the Rights of ManA
Give us a heart to scanA
Blessings so dearB
Let them be spread aroundC
Wherever man is foundC
And with the welcome soundC
Ravish his earD
-
Let us with France agreeE
And bid the world be freeE
While tyrants fallF
Let the rude savage hostG
Of their vast numbers boastG
Freedom's almight trustH
Laughs at them allF
-
Though hosts of slaves conspireI
To quench fair Gallia's fireI
Still shall they failJ
Though traitors round her riseK
Leagu'd with her enemiesL
To war each patriot fliesK
And will prevailJ
-
No more is valor's flameM
Devoted to a nameM
Taught to adoreN
Soldiers of LibertyE
Disdain to bow the kneeE
But ateach EqualityE
To every shoreN
-
The world at last will joinO
To aid thy grand designP
Dear LibertyE
To Russia's frozen landsQ
The generous flame expandsQ
On Afric's burning sandsQ
Shall man be freeE
-
In this our western worldR
Be Freedom's flag unfurl'dR
Through all its shoresS
May no destructive blastT
Our heaven of joy o'ercastT
May Freedom's fabric lastT
While time enduresU
-
If e'er her cause requireI
Should tyrants e'er aspireV
To aim their strokeW
May no proud despot dauntT
Should he his standard plantT
Freedom will never wantT
Her hearts of oakW
