Son joyeux importun d'un clavecin sonore PETRUS BORELA
-
-
The keyboard over which two slim hands floatB
Shines vaguely in the twilight pink and grayC
Whilst with a sound like wings note after noteB
Takes flight to form a pensive little layC
That strays discreet and charming faint remoteB
About the room where perfumes of Her strayC
-
What is this sudden quiet cradling meD
To that dim ditty's dreamy rise and fallE
What do you want with me pale melodyD
What is it that you want ghost musicalA
That fade toward the window waveringlyA
A little open on the garden smallA
-
Oh heavy heavy my despairF
Because because of One so fairF
-
My misery knows no allayA
Although my heart has come awayA
-
Although my heart although my soulA
Have fled the fatal One's controlA
-
My misery knows no allayA
Although my heart has come awayA
-
My heart the too too feeling oneG
Says to my soul Can it be doneG
-
Can it be done too feeling heartH
That we from her shall live apartH
-
My soul says to my heart Know II
What this strange pitfall should implyI
-
That we though far from her are nearJ
Yea present though in exile hereK
