Since Shade Relents Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFG HIHJ KLKL MNMN AOAO

Since shade relents since 'tis indeed the dayA
Since hope I long had deemed forever flownB
Wings back to me that call on her and prayA
Since so much joy consents to be my ownB
-
The dark designs all I relinquish hereC
And all the evil dreams Ah done am ID
Above all with the narrowed lips the sneerE
The heartless wit that laughed where one should sighD
-
Away clenched fist and bosom's angry swellF
That knave and fool at every turn aboundG
Away hard unforgivingness FarewellF
Oblivion in a hated brewage foundG
-
For I mean now a Being of the MornH
Has shed across my night excelling raysI
Of love at once immortal and newbornH
By favor of her smile her glance her graceJ
-
I mean by you upheld O gentle handK
Wherein mine trembles led sweet eyes by youL
To walk straight lie the path o'er mossy landK
Or barren waste that rocks and pebbles strewL
-
Yes calm I mean to walk through life and straightM
Patient of all unanxious of the goalN
Void of all envy violence or hateM
It shall be duty done with cheerful soulN
-
And as I may to lighten the long wayA
Go singing airs ingenuous and braveO
She'll listen to me graciously I sayA
And verily no other heaven I craveO
