L'amour Par Terre [english] Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DEED FGGH IJJI

The wind the other night blew down the LoveA
That in the dimmest corner of the parkB
So subtly used to smile bending his arcB
And sight of whom did us so deeply moveC
-
One day The other night's wind blew him downD
The marble dust whirls in the morning breezeE
Oh sad to view o'erblotted by the treesE
There on the base the name of great renownD
-
Oh sad to view the empty pedestalF
And melancholy fancies come and goG
Across my dream whereon a day of woeG
Foreshadowed is I know what will befallH
-
Oh sad And you are saddened also SweetI
Are not you by this scene although your eyeJ
Pursues the gold and purple butterflyJ
That flutters o'er the wreck strewn at our feetI
