Clair De Lune [english] Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Your soul is as a moonlit landscape fairA
Peopled with maskers delicate and dimB
That play on lutes and dance and have an airA
Of being sad in their fantastic trimB
-
The while they celebrate in minor strainC
Triumphant love effective enterpriseD
They have an air of knowing all is vainC
And through the quiet moonlight their songs riseD
-
The melancholy moonlight sweet and loneE
That makes to dream the birds upon the treeF
And in their polished basins of white stoneE
The fountains tall to sob with ecstasyF
