Remind Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABBC DDEEFFD DDGGD DDHHD

If the whips from life's campaignA
become so hard for my shell to refrainA
and like a sojourner who misses his trainA
my feeble mind get to dump in disdainA
remind me of the oath I made to mommaB
the day she left me with a commaB
to become the modern age SpillaneC
-
If my vivid lines grow so blurryD
And my savoury poems run out of curryD
If creativity tastes so sourE
and my muse lacks baking flourE
Remind me of the man I painted on my wallF
not the street child life played like a volleyballF
with sagging loads on his back like a surreyD
-
If today's breaths are a tallyD
night after night are spent on dallyD
remind me of the good old daysG
the blissful family before the straysG
the chums cronies and times that we rallyD
-
If the gourd fall from the palm treeD
and Palm wine gushes out with gleeD
remind the palm tapper of the nightH
He rode home with mood flying like a kiteH
before the whirlwind tussles with the treeD
