Someone should sprinkle on my headA
dews of cheers and mist of applaudsB
-
Maybe I'll feel the frozen thumbs and fingersC
from the touch of teeth chewing coldD
while walking on billowing breezeE
-
Someone should call me by nameF
tell me the story of how I sailedG
through the twirling tornadoesH
-
Maybe I'll get to fix the broken cartilagesH
feel the flows of bloods on fractured JointsH
-
the scars bruises and the invisible woundsH
from the battle I forfeited to Beast of GeuvadanI
-
Someone Should give me a roseH
buy me chocolates and some cupcakesH
-
Maybe I'll get to taste the sweetness of lifeJ
the refreshing scents of beauty full natureK
-
As I was bred from Streets of scavengersH
hunting on sour foods blended with an acrid smellsH
-
Someone should call my nameF
whisper to my earsH
-
Soon everything's gonna be fineI

Poet's note: This poem is a story of a young teen who strives so hard in silence, facing the odds of life and now he's losing courage and needs someone to call his name, his attention back so he can keep walking on track This poem is an uplifting poem written for those whose courage is getting hard to hold onto as a source of upliftment It was written when calamities of life keep striking like thunder and people turned deaf ears to my struggles as a young lonely teen. I wanted to express the down and ups of life I've walked through and I hope the picture i painted did justice to that. This poem is a red flag to me and a means to tell people to embrace , praise people that strive hard to live because it's not an easy task.
