Tableau At Twilight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD EE FG DD HI

I sit in the dusk I am all aloneA
Enter a child and an ice cream coneA
-
A parent is easily beguiledB
By sight of this coniferous childB
-
The friendly embers warmer gleamC
The cone begins to drip ice creamC
-
Cones are composed of many a vitaminD
My lap is not the place to bitaminD
-
Although my raiment is not chinchillaE
I flinch to see it become vanillaE
-
Coniferous child when vanilla meltsF
I d rather it melted somewhere elseG
-
Exit child with remains of coneD
I sit in the dusk I am all aloneD
-
Muttering spells like an angry DruidH
Alone in the dusk with the cleaning fluidI
