One From One Leaves Two Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDCC EEFFGGHH IIJJKKLL MMNNJJOOPP

Higgledy piggledy my black henA
She lays eggs for gentlemenB
Gentlemen come every dayC
To count what my black hen doth layC
If perchance she lays too manyD
They fine my hen a pretty pennyD
If perchance she fails to layC
The gentlemen a bonus payC
-
Mumbledy pumbledy my red cowE
She s cooperating nowE
At first she didn t understandF
That milk production must be plannedF
She didn t understand at firstG
She either had to plan or burstG
But now the government reportsH
She s giving pints instead of quartsH
-
Fiddle de dee my next door neighborsI
They are giggling at their laborsI
First they plant the tiny seedJ
Then they water then they weedJ
Then they hoe and prune and lopK
They they raise a record cropK
Then they laugh their sides asunderL
And plow the whole caboodle underL
-
Abracadabra thus we learnM
The more you create the less you earnM
The less you earn the more you re givenN
The less you lead the more you re drivenN
The more destroyed the more they feedJ
The more you pay the more they needJ
The more you earn the less you keepO
And now I lay me down to sleepO
I pray the Lord my soul to takeP
If the tax collector hasn t got it before I wakeP
