Barber barber come and get meA
Hairy torrents irk and fret meA
Hair and hair again appearsB
And climbs like ivy round my earsB
Hair across my collar gambolsB
Down my neck it wayward amblesB
Ever down it trip it ticklesB
Yes where it trips it ticklesB
Barber dear I wish I knewC
Why i do not visit youC
Why I grudge the minutes tenD
In your smiling denD
Why I choose to choke on hairE
Rather than to mount your chairE
Men no busier than IF
Weekly to your office hieG
Men no busier than myselfH
Confront the armory on your shelfH
Men no wealthier than meA
Gladly meet your modest feeA
And for a fraction of a dollarI
Keep the jungle off their collarI
I alone am shy and flusteredJ
Solitary cowardly custardJ
Shaggy as a prize angoreI
Overrun with the creeping floraI
Barber barber you re in luckK
The bell has rung the hour has struckK
Sloth strong the hair is strongL
I cannot stand it any longL
Barber barber here I comeM
Shake up the odorous bay rumM
Bring on your shears your scythes your snippersB
Bring on your crisp electric driersB
Employ a dozen extra sweepersB
Bring giant harvesters and reapersB
I warn you a bumper cropN
Waits to overwhelm your shopN
Braber barber be verboseB
Be anything but clip me closeB
Leave me razored leave me scissoredJ
Leave me hairless as a lizardJ
Barber barber single and scaldJ
Barber can t you make me baldJ
I will be the happiest of menD
And never think of you againD
