The Earth's Sovereign Riddle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDE FDGG HHII JJDD KKLL

If the Earth were my dear old uncle's rightA
I'd surely tease and cause a humerous frightA
I'd rearrange the continents oh what funB
Swap Africa with Asia to baffle everyoneB
-
I'd make mountains dance and rivers run amokC
Creating chaos with an impish touch of luckC
Taunting people with tickling earthquakes so grandD
Leaving them wondering in bewildered landsE
-
But hold on a second let's flip the coinF
Imagine if the Earth was owned by someone overjoicedD
A landlord with greed a devilish grinG
Chaos and mayhem the world would be inG
-
They'd charge fees for sunlight selling air for a dimeH
Tax the birds for singing a sweet melody chimeH
The clouds would be auctioned rain now a luxuryI
Leaving us thirsting in desperate agonyI
-
Oh the terror and torment we would faceJ
If Earth was handled by such a greedy braceJ
But fear not my friend let's keep it lightD
For the Earth belongs to the Lord in all its mightD
-
In laughter and jest we find a wayK
To appreciate the world we have todayK
So let's cherish this planet with its wondrous scenesL
And delight in the beauty that nature convenesL
