After Release From Prison Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDECFGHIJGKLEFM

AwakeA
Where are youB
At homeC
Still unaccustomedD
awake or sleepingE
to being in your own homeC
This is just one more of the stupefactionsF
of spending thirteen years in a prisonG
Who's lying at your sideH
Not loneliness but your wifeI
in the peaceful sleep of an angelJ
Pregnancy looks good on a womanG
What time is itK
EightL
That means you're safe until eveningE
Because it's the practice of policeF
Never to raid homes in broad daylightM
