If I Die Today Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DEFF GGHH IJKK LMNOPP QRSS TTATB U

If I die todayA
Just put my body on a bed to layA
Neither weep nor cry for me in vainB
Do not sorrow nor be in painB
Celebrate my death for I have no one's debtC
For I have lived a life I will never regretC
-
If at all I never see the break of dawnD
Do not look so sad do not even mournE
Do not cry out so loud for I won't returnF
Just rise up gather yourself for you can't tell tomorrow might be your turnF
-
If at all my breath should ceaseG
Do not let your stress or anxiety increaseG
Just kneel down and pray for my soul in heaven to be receivedH
For there I belong even before I was conceivedH
-
When my eyes close in deathI
Just know that I no longer belong to this earthJ
I am only on a pilgrimage in this worldK
And when it's over I move over to the next worldK
-
One day I shall reach the cross roadL
I like to call it my final aboardM
Where life death battle for my soulN
Whoever wins the other must let goO
Talk now while I still can hear youP
Teach now that I can learn from youP
-
For a battery has been placed on my heartQ
One day it will die and my heart will stop beatingR
When a phone battery dies it can be replacedS
But when that of the heart dies it can never be replacedS
-
If tomorrow never comes againT
If the day never breaks againT
If today my breath is taken awayA
If at all the sun never rises againT
Know that the memories we share will forever remainB
-
