Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEFGHHIJKLMNOPOQ ICR

A prince name Gautama was bornA
who had all the luxuries to adornA
despite all his opulence and comfortB
Suffered deep spiritual wretchednessC
Often he walked by the edge of the pondD
Pondering why old age sickness and death befallE
Inqusitivity deepened more and moreF
Prompted him to refuse his heir s throneG
He thought of becoming a sageH
at such a tender ageH
Shakyamuni then renounced desire to secular lifeI
Consecutive events led him to thriveJ
Much long his spiritual tormant prevailedK
Curiously wanted to know reason behind sufferings n painL
wandering and seeking ways to transcend life s fundamental lawM
rapt in reverential aweN
determined n firm he meditates under a peepal treeO
He was sure to attain enlightenmentP
being a strong devoteeO
Eventually he perceived a beam of lightQ
awakening him to the eternal nature of lifeI
Accumulated past karmas are the reason of our sufferingsC
Claiming birth death and rebirth is inescapable immutable and self abidingR
