Later Days Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GBHIJK LMN OPM QRED ASRH

O Pain cradle me once again in yourA
desolate arms of sorrow Squeeze me soB
tight that I burst into tiny fragmentsC
falling like bloody tears into vast emptyD
space searching for that lost horizon ofE
childhood love and happinessF
-
Insanity I welcome your familiar embraceG
once again but why do you look soB
grim this time We've always had a greatH
time together and got away with just aboutI
everything before God what hystericalJ
laughs I got with you by my sideK
-
I guess that's all over between us because now IL
see you're accompanied by your twin brotherM
but why is HE laughing and not youN
-
Does this mean it's HIS turn to takeO
control of my actions and roll the DiceP
of Fate Does this mean it's all overM
-
O precious Life I wish not to partQ
with you at this moment but all my sensesR
have flown and my soul grows weary ofE
living in disharmonyD
-
I must leave you both my brothers forA
now but we'll all get together for a biteS
to eat and a few drinks beyond Eternity'sR
GateH
