I am here and no one is near. Far
away I have run. Now, I am alone!
Kept company only by my shadow and
the Paranoia of silence!
In mental disarray, I fled society
today, seeking freedom and peace of
mind. But now that it's found, I am
lost, a poor stranger to my soul! I
can identify with nil!
Peace, you torturous villain! I
once thought you my only saviour but
now your tranquil haze envelops my
conscience and mocks it with irradicable
transmissions of false hope!
Invisible to all but one, myself!
Am I really free? Have I finally
won? Why is there no prize to be
gained but solitude? Tortured by
my thoughts and lack of gratitude?
My God, what have I done?
Though from chains I have broken,
a noose still encompasses my soul,
constricting my cry of Victory!
My physical agony, amplifying the
simplest possessions, now treasured
that were once taken for granted because
of my foolish pride!
Hear me now O World......I was wrong!
Now matter how far you try to run away
from your troubles, there will
they be also!
I have learned my lesson.
Life is never quite fair to those who truly
care; but if your problems you choose
to ignore, in the end, they will hunt
you down like a starving beast, leaving
you with nowhere to HIDE!!
