Another new year is knocking at my
door, as the old one casts its dusty
memories aloft; silently scattering
them one last time, before finally settling
back, beneath my mind's floor.
"Don't look back," people always say,
but if you do, take with you what you've
learned. Memories, if invested wisely,
will bring you many more prosperous new
years earned!
It's hard to place people with events and things
they might have said. Your brain becomes overloaded,
but make sure there's room for new knowledge.
Leave SOME empty space in your head.
You're going to get older. No force in
this World can stop the Hands of Time,
Don't worry, it's only natural. Live
for now and you'll do just fine!
Onward we must march across the Sands of
Time, Eternity beyond the horizon, your
past, always behind! Don't ever walk in
the other direction. You can't get back to
where you've already been.
Just turn around, gallop with a smile into the
future, and give the old Wheel of Fate a spin!
