The Honest Shepherd Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFF

When hungry wolves had trespass'd on the foldA
And the robb'd shepherd his sad story toldA
'Call in Alcides ' said a crafty priestB
'Give him one half and he'll secure the rest 'C
No said the shepherd if the Fates decreeD
By ravaging my flock to ruin meD
To their commands I willingly resignE
Power is their character and patience mineE
Though troth to me there seems but little oddsF
Who prove the greatest robbers wolves or godsF
