Songs Set To Music: 17. Set By Mr. De Fesch Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE AFAF

Nanny blushes when I woo herA
And with kindly chiding eyesB
Faintly says I shall undo herA
Faintly O forbear she criesB
-
But her breasts while I am pressingC
While to hers my lips I joinD
Warm'd she seems to taste the blessingC
And her kisses answer mineE
-
Undebauch'd by rules of honourA
Innocence with Nature charmsF
One bids gently push me from herA
The other take me in her armsF
